Put four univeristy friends together, add in some alcohol and music, and a Saturday night, and you have the perfect mix for a night out.
Add in a birthday, and it is even better!
This weekend we all got together in Milton Keynes to celebrate Lians birthday. I havent introduced her before, but she is my little best friend. Our first meeting was on a night out in the first year of university- we can’t remember what we said to each other, but from there onwards I became her Gay Best Friend. We even moved in with each other in our final year, which made our friendship even better, and when the final day came we knew we wouldnt lose contact.
This weekend was just another chapter in our friendship. Another year older, another excuse to party.
After having a few drinks to start with some of her friends from home, we headed into town to a few cocktail bars, before heading over to The Living Room. With a table booked, we were able to carry on drinking, dancing, and taking loooaddsss of pictures to add to the albums! The atmosphere was great, with a mixture of old and new music (which I am sure they did to make us feel older!), and friendly bar staff; the venue was perfect for a fun night!
I am just worried about the day we hit OAP status and look back reminiscing, knowing us two we will probably be heading back out thinking we are young again!
After what turned out to be a messy night, the following morning was spent in bed gossiping and planning for the BBQ that afternoon. I didn’t manage to take any pictures of the BBQ, but I managed to get one of the cake!
Before I knew it, and a few hugs later, I was surrounded by fields as we shot through the countryside back to the big smoke! Another weekend with the best friend has flown by, but time flies when you are having fun ay!
Friendships stick, regardless of what you go through with them.
