Another weekend, another birthday to attend. This time I was rekindling my romance with my university city, the one and only Southampton.
I loved Southampton when I was at uni, and lived in the hub of all the nightlife. This time however, I was on the outskirts, catching up with old friends. Some of those I haven’t seen in nearly two years, others for a few weeks including my two friends Dan and Charlie.
Time flies!
With the sun beating down, alcolhol flowing, and a bit of sunbathing, we decided to have a BBQ to celebrate my friend Dan’s birthday! This isn’t any old BBQ with a few pieces of meat on it, this is a full blown, over the top, how much can you eat BBQ. So after a quick dash to the shop, we found ourselves eating until we couldn’t move!
Any BBQ is great, but it is even better when each of you throws in £5 each, you head to your local wholesaler or butchers and buy as much as you can for your money. We even did a bit of bartering to get a few more bits thrown in too!
The Sunday was again spent with a BBQ for breakfast (got to use up all the meat!) followed by a pub lunch. Being right out in the countryside made me really miss home, but heading back there next week will sort that out!
This weekend, of course, is Jubilee weekend! If you are unsure on what to do, then I would head on over to my friend Rose’s blog, The Londoner, who has kindly let us know where will be good to go!

Look HOTT LJ! xx
